Clinton County Humane Society is form by volunteers who are dedicated to protect and save the lives of homeless, abused and neglected animals in the County. All animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on the vaccines before they are eligible to be adopted. A variety of programs are in process and these include training and grooming classes. Pets who have are recently orphaned by their deceased owners are assisted as well. Clinton County Humane Society provides Hand-on training with students who assist the local high schools, vocational schools, and colleges. A second addition has been added to this humane society and it is called Second Chance Ranch.
The ranch includes 20 kennels that have indoor and covered outside space, fenced-in socialization areas, and heating and cooling. Catillion is a large area for the cats and kittens. The Catillion has various types of climbing platforms, walkways, toys, and many hiding spaces. Also included are two get-acquainted rooms for potential adopters, a grooming area, office and reception area, and storage areas. This Humane Society offers Pet Education with the following topics: Poisoning, Drowning, Broken Bones, Choking, Electrical Shock, Wounds, Heatstroke, Cold Weather Stress, Shock, Parked Car, and how to Keep Cool in Hot Weather.
